  As a former student who spent all of elementary and high school here, I have nothing but great memories about this school. It's really great to see that some of the teachers I had back then are still there. I am very thankful to have attended AISC with its small class sizes with tight-knit groups of students with very international and different backgrounds.

  AISC has embraced our Association since 2014. Members of our Association have their children attending the school and are thrilled with the program and the teachers. The Human Rights Policy of the school is enforced in such a way that there is NO WAY that bullying is acceptable or tolerated.
  The comments from an ex-family expressing in a such negative way and anger their opinion, to the extent of publicly bullying a child does not serve any public service. On the contrary it promotes hate that we do not need more hate in our world.

  I have been at this school for 13 years since KG-5. I'm very happy and satisfied by the school’s performance. The professional staff are very friendly and have high quality training. The negative comments that my school was accused of are false. My school has taught me many lifelong lessons that I’m very pleased of.

  I have been a teacher in this school for 15 years now and a parent at some point. If you ask my children they will tell you how happy they were while they studied in this school at the tender age of 3 to 6. They received nothing but care and true interest on behalf of their teachers; they cherish their memories from their schooling here. As a teacher I can only say that this school has helped me grow professionally, I took pride in seeing my students succeed in high profile universities around the world and they keep coming back to see us and share their successes with us.

  I have been a teacher at this school for 16 years. What concerns me most, despite the abundance of inaccuracies in the negative reviews, is the distinct lack of moral compass in the naming and shaming of one of our students. This goes against everything we stand for and the general ethos of our community. You only have to read the reviews of our own pupils to understand that there is nothing more honest than the student voice.

  This school once used to be a great school. However, since the arrival of the latest director Mrs Kleiss, several years ago, the school has turned for the worst. Despite all nice propaganda articles you read in the newspapers and magazines, do not believe a word of it. The teaching quality is very poor due to the extremely low salaries offered and expat teachers who are on a two year contract seem more interested in exploring the island than caring for the education of your child. The IB program is a joke with hardly any subjects offered. If wanted, students can study some alternative IB subjects themselves online, without any guidance or help from the school. Even for this huge fees have to be paid. A lot of bullying is going on at this school, whereby hardly any action is taken against the bullies. In fact the directors own son being the biggest bully of the whole school and no one dares to take any action against him as previous teachers that did where fired by his mom. The school building is very much run down and there are hardly any sports facilities which could be expected from an expensive American International School. Many 'local' teachers that were working at the school for many many years have left over the last couple of years and also many parents - even American families - have taken their kids out of this school as there are much better alternatives than this school.

  I was very disappointed to hear that Michalis Matheou as a certified nurse signed off on research that supports the consumption of sugar and food added chemicals for kids of developing ages. Michelle Kleiss I am very disappointed and frustrated by the lack of professionalism when it comes to the health of our children. I demand better health standards for our children.

  I was a student at AISC from Grade 1 (2005-2006) up until halfway Grade 7 (2011-2012) and I treasure these years at AISC forever from the friends I've made, the teachers, to the actual school itself. I miss you all!
