TEDxNicosia was born in quest for inspiration and dialogue instigation within our day-to-day lives here in Nicosia, Cyprus. It is the very first TEDx event presented on the island in 2011 as an initiative by our Founder, Marina Theodotou, bringing the TED like experience of ‘ideas worth spreading.'TEDxNicosia is a non-profit initiative, organized and operated by a passionate and experienced team of volunteers. Everyone with their own superhero power, from logistics, to operational and supply chain management, to creative design and web development, to communication, film production and finance among others. All share a common drive to make a real impact in the community we live in.About TEDx, x = independently organized eventIn the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
