Please be aware of the following:-
1. The manager of this company, John William Thompson, has never qualified as a paramedic & is not registered as one, a worldwide legal requirement. Check the UK Healthcare Professions Council website for confirmation. Paramedics must be registered, possess a registration number & re-qualify every 2 years.
2. Most of this company's staff are untrained & unqualified to either drive or medically attend on emergency ambulances. Ask to see their qualifications for proof. A "dedicated driver" means they are unqualified to drive on lights & sirens. There is a 3 week intensive training course in the UK that must be passed before anyone can drive in emergency situations.
3. This company has been reported to the Paphos Social Insurance & Welfare offices for non payment of staff wages & social insurance. The manager was forced to pay or face court action.
4. The manager was also found guilty at the Paphos Industrial Disputes Court of the Unfair Dismissal of a fully qualified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who raised verbal & written concerns about the recruitment of unqualified, untrained & incompetent staff. The company manager was issued with a court fine & reprimand.
5. This company has re-employed several previously dismissed (for proven unprofessional conduct) staff & a nurse who caused a critical incident. Two of these staff were previously wearing paramedic epaulettes though they were only qualified to EMT standard. These situations should cause due concern for any service subscriber expecting a professional & accountable service.
6. The company emergency ambulance are poor quality, high mileage, ex UK NHS de-commissioned vehicles. They are in need of regular repair & service & are unreliable.
7. The nursing staff have no emergency ambulance qualifications and are not trained in pre-hospital care. Only Paramedics & EMTs are sufficiently qualified.
8. This company has traded under a bewildering number of names & locations & that alone should draw suspicion. They have merged with differing Paphos Hospitals & clinics & the associated track record is of persistent failure.response / report this review -

Saw the "paramedic officer" working today at the remembrance service in Paphos. I have a great deal of respect for all emergency service staff but unfortunately I have concerns about this man's qualifications. I will happily apologise if he would like to confirm his qualifications. I await your contact. Update Now 22nd March and no contact.

Unqualified staff, medical & driving, including the manager who has never qualified as a paramedic and is not legally registered.
A simple check with the HCPC (Healthcare Professionals Council) UK website will confirm this yet he calls himself a paramedic officer which he would be prosecuted for in the UK. This man has been lying to his service subscribers for years telling them all his staff are UK trained & qualified paramedics. He has had very few of such and paid them a pittance and often late. They understandably left. This company has placed total novices on emergency vehicles with no checks made on their past/references etc. Very few of them have the required Emergency Driving qualification (a 3/4 week intensive course) which entitles them to drive with lights and sirens in emergency situations. Poor quality ex UK decommissioned vehicles and equipment deemed unfit for purpose by local hospitals. Non existent communication with subscribers to inform them of mergers with other companies. An array of disastrous staff appointments including unqualified and dangerously incompetent nurses. Now back with Blue Cross clinic using their ambulances which were previously rejected. Whoever heard of an ambulance service with no ambulances of their own?
Additionally the company manager, John Thompson, was forced to pay unpaid staff wages after a complaint to The Paphos Social Insurance & Welfare Offices or face court action. He has scant comprehension of or respect for EU Employment Law and thinks he can avoid paying staff for annual leave that they are legally entitled to. This set-up has also traded with an array of differing company names and that alone should draw suspicion.

The crews are fantastic! They are so patient and understanding. They also offer membership to people who stay permanently in Paphos, it's pretty much a necessity here! Great service and I wish them all only the best!
