  Another Christian Church converted to a mosque
  The construction of the mosque followed a similar groundsplan to the former church, however building of the mosque was conducted in the Islamic style. It nicely exhibits the characteristics of the Ottoman-Turkish architecture with varying elements, such as arches, small domes and a tall Turkish-style minaret easily visible from a distance.[3]

  The Omeriye mosque is the only Gothic church converted into a mosque in south Nicosia. It is one of only two mosques in south Nicosia, and the only one currently used as a place of worship. (The other one is the Bayraktar mosque, which can be found on the Constanza bastion). It serves the small Muslim community in south Nicosia, consisting mainly of diplomats, businessmen and holidaymakers.

  オメリイェ・モスクOmeriye Mosque。1451年にオスマン・トルコのムスタフ・パシャによって建設されました。先の内戦でギリシャ人がイスラムの歴史的建造物を破壊しなかったことに敬意を表します。

  De Omeriyemoskee is een groot en eenvoudig gebouw met een lange minaret in Ottomaanse bouwstijl. Tot op heden is deze de enige moskee in het Griekse gedeelte van Nicosia, die nog actief is. Binnenin valt echter niets bijzonders te zien.
