Beautiful views. Grate place for mountine bike and long walk, but you cant get to the top. 2 kilometeres before the army will stop you. Alien experiments?! Must see.
The views absolutely amazing you can see different parts of the island from that high . answering points you would be able to see the different sides of the coast . Highly recommended on Sunny days when the air is really clean otherwise it's kind of a waste of a trip.
Wonderful view while going up, but military fences ruins the fun at the top.
This is the highest point of Cyprus, unfortunately the summit is off limits to the public as it is an active army base. Trees block the view of the surrounding landscape.
Beautiful place in all seasons. In winter you can enjoy snow and really cold weather. In summer you can hide there from the heat. The t there is app 10 C lower then in Nicosia. You can rent sledges and skis and even use the ski lift. All the slopes have an access from the main road. Be ware in winter you might need 4x4 and chains to reach the highest point.
Not great views from summit vantage point but excellent views from many lay-bys on the road up and down. Nice villages and places to eat and drink to.
There are great views from the top. Unfortunately you can't reach the summit due to it being a restricted military base. Even in midsummer it can be chilly at this altitude, so take something warm. I've been up in mid March and the last 1km to the top was snow covered. Other times of year a pleasant winding drive up. Good relief from the furnace like heat of Nicosia.
Army base on the top so resticted area. Nice views but you can find better ones on Cyprus
A little bit disappointing, because you cannot actually climb the peak, as there is a military base on the top. Other reviewers praise the trail encircling the summit, but we had no time to hike it. We climbed as close to the top as it was possible and the view was nice, but because of the base the view is open to one direction only. There is no trail to the peak. I recommend leaving a car on the parking by the ski center and restaurant. From there you can walk straight uphill through a nice pine forest.
