Christiana Karagiorgi was born in Paphos in 1978. She studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). After her studies she stayed in Athens – Greece where she worked as an Architect. In 2007 she received her MA in Digital Forms of Arts of the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) having taken the IKY Scholarship. She at that time participated in several artistic Events in Greece (Image & Sound Festival of Athens Technopolis and ASFA- 2006, Athens Videocollective Festival 2005, etc) with some of her Video Art /multimedia projects. She also participated in several Architectural Competitions in Greece, Cyprus and αbroad for some of which she was nominated. From 2007 to 2010 she worked at Kokkinou+Kourkoulas Architecture Studio, collaborating with her former professors Andreas Kourkoulas and John Peponis. In 2011 she returned to her hometown Paphos where she now works at her own Architectural Studio. Her studies in Architecture, Aesthetics and Theory of Design as well as her wide view in Arts and Contemporary Culture - combined with her experience in design detail and construction- compliment a dynamic /multidisciplinary approach towards Architecture practice.
Η Χριστιάνα Καραγιώργη γεννήθηκε στην Πάφο το 1978. Σπούδασε Αρχιτεκτονική στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο. Μετά τις σπουδές της παρέμεινε στην Αθήνα όπου εργάστηκε σε διάφορα αρχιτεκτονικά γραφεία. Το 2007 ολοκλήρωσε με υποτροφία (ΙΚΥ) τις Μεταπτυχιακές της Σπουδές (ΜΑ) στις «Ψηφιακές Μορφές Τέχνης» της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Αθηνών. Συμμετέιχε τότε σε διάφορα καλλιτεχνικά δρώμενα (Φεστιβάλ ‘Ηχου και Εικόνας Τεχνόπολις – ΑΣΚΤ και Athens Videocollective Festival κ.α) με έργα Video και πολυμέσων. Από το 2007 έως και το 2010 εργάστηκε στο Αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο Μ. Κοκκίνου + Α. Κούρκουλα όπου συνεργάστηκε με τους καθηγητές της Αντρέα Κούρκουλα και Γιάννη Πεπονή. Συμμετείχε σε πολλούς Αρχιτεκτονικούς Διαγωνισμούς σε Ελλάδα, Κύπρο και στο εξωτερικό με βραβεία και διακρίσεις [Εuropan 07- Geneuve / Επανάχρηση του Χανίου του Ιμπραήμ στην Πάφο/ κτλ]. Από το 2011 ζεί στην Πάφο όπου διατηρεί το δικό της Αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο. Οι σπουδές της στην Αρχιτεκτονική, την Αισθητική θεωρία και την σύγχρονη Τέχνη, και η εμπειρία της στο σχεδιασμό και την κατασκευή, συνιστούν μια δυναμική προσέγγιση στην Αρχιτεκτονική πρακτική.
