We stayed for 2 weeks from the 2nd May until the 16th. I was a bit dubious after reading some of the reviews so we booked room only. But I was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the hotel. I would say this is a 2+ or basic 3 stars. The rooms are very clean. There was hot water when we went despite other reviews I've read, it just takes a few minutes to come through but it gets very hot. They provide shower wash/hand gel that's really lovely smelling. The staff are all friendly and helpful, in fact we got to speak to a man called George who made us coffee in the mornings, and one day we told him we wanted to go see Kiti. He asked us to wait a little then gave us a lift to the bus station. That's when we found out he was the owner! So they definitely go the extra mile. The pool was very clean and plenty of sunbeds. In fact the pool was never crowded which was lovely for us. 😊. Although we didn't book any meals on my stay I did get hungry at one point and asked if I could get some thing to eat, although outside of their lunch period they accommodated me, I asked for a simple ham and cheese sandwich what arrived was toasted one with aside of chips and garnish. It was scrummy 😊 and good value.
We had a really good time and I have no qualms in recommending this place to stay. I will say though that the hotel has alot of people staying for short periods of time so it is quite a noisy hotel, esp at night so if your little ones take a while to settle or gets easily disturbed then maybe this isn't the hotel for you. We are a couple who enjoys our lay in, so it didn't bother us too much. We would stay at this hotel again. Also much to our surprise we were given a little leaving present as a thank you from them on choosing their hotel. Thank you Cactus hotel and see you again soon.
Pros -
the overall cost is very reasonable.
It's a very clean hotel.
Staff are friendly and helpful
Pool is available, clean and of fair size. Clean towels and sheets are provided every 5 days.
Close to the beach which is 5 minutes walk in real time
Near to coastline which had plenty of shops and restaurants in area.
Very centrally located in Larnaca.

Cons-
It's a bit of a noisy hotel with doors opening and closing. People talking.

By chance, it's really quiet this week. Facilities are good, my room is clean and well decorated. The whole hotel is bright and clean.

Its a good place for the money! Close to the beach, with balcony. 2euro extra for the fridge but its worth it! :) People are nice.

The worst service ever..
I had charged extra charge for mini bar!!!!!!!
The receptionists were not friendly at all.
The restaurant officer was so so rude.
The big disaster was when we had sewage obstruction in the bathroom. I asked the reception to send me someone to fix it. They told me that the room service boy went home!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only positive thing was the price.
It is very disgusting hotel😡😵😨😖

Just stayed there half a day before catching a flight. Not the biggest shortcomings but still. If you ask them to call for a taxi to be there at a given time, they still have to call for it when the time is there. Disappointing dinner. LED bedside clock that does not work, beside giving light. USB-charger build into wallsocket at the head of the bed makes high frequency noise.

The hotel is barely a good value for the money. Considering it was a short stay, 1-2 nights, you can say it's barely an OK choice. Breakfast is horrible, better to eat somewhere else. The service was below average, though the reception was helpful and kind. Mind the power sockets, they don't mach even with regular adapters. In hotel they charged us 0.50€ for piece of plastic, you put in the socket, for adapter to mach. Also they charge additional 3.00€ for the Wi-Fi in apartment (!). Because there is free Wi-Fi ONLY by the pool or in the lobby.
