Villa Tokara was a wonderful place for us to stay on our trip to Curacao. Arrien the hotel owner couldn't have been more helpful. We don't like big impersonal hotels and the 5 room Villa Tokara was the perfect venue for us. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable served out on the patio by the pool. Beaches are convenient but the hotel is not situated on the water. Can't say enough about this hotel.

Een speciale plek! De inrichting is echt geweldig, centraal gelegen tussen Mambo Boulevard en oude centrum Punda, de eigenaar is vriendelijk en met z'n gasten begaan. Aanrader!

5- star luxury boutique hotel in the historic city center of Curaçao.

We arrived in the hotel on a Friday morning an hour earlier than announced due to an earlier flight we were able to catch from neighboring island of Bonaire. We were lucky that our room was available.

The airconditioning in our suite was turned on which we really appreciated since Curaçao is very warm in early September.

After we shared our interest in the hotel and it's design, one of the owners gave us a quick tour around the hotel grounds. We loved every corner. There are around 6 rooms which results in a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. There is a mini-bar in the room and a self-service bar and liquor bar in the reception area: simply note down the drinks you get.

There are many American and European types of restaurants in the direct vicinity: Restaurants with Sea-view, comfort food, high end (Mozu), air-conditioned, or more budget restaurants (eg scuba lodge). The owner will gladly share his favorites.

Our suite is very spacious and decorated with love and care. See the images. Very nice towels. Great bed. There are many traditional shutter windows in the room so it does get light as soon as the sun comes out. This didn't bother me since I brought eye mask.

If you'd like to use breakfast, the owner would like to know this the day before to make sure your preferred options are available. Breakfast can be served whenever you are ready in the morning.

What can I say about the pool? It is absolutely wonderful! Very large given the limited amount of rooms and guest. We were at the pool 4 days and only saw another couple at the pool on one of these days.

Absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay - highly recommended!
