  A large and inviting restaurant with a menu best called "Continental." The grilled meat specialties, cheerfully promoted by the servers, are the real stars, though the appetizers and sides are also prepared with care. Balcony seating, with famous Curacao views, is more popular, but the interior courtyard and its bubbling fountain is a gracious and relaxing place to enjoy fine dining.

  Pricey.... decent food but not the best. The view was good sitting at the bar patio... at night. Dinner cast a lot. Probably won't go back. The bar tender was top notch though.
  He has great taste in music. Was playing some real good stuff.

  NicE bar and restaurant with fine dining, and option of local dishes. There is a courtyard that is really quiet and nice place to enjoy a good meal. Recommend it

  One of the best restaurants in downtown Willemstad. Great views from the front, romantic courtyard with a fountain in the back. Excellent service and amazing food and reasonable prices! We came here for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and 4 of us had the Cuban Banana Soup which deserves the hype: it was outstanding. Perfectly spiced and unlike anything I have ever had before. We all enjoyed our meals immensely and they brought out an awesome dessert tray for my boyfriend at the end. Thank you Gouverneur!! ☺️

  Great divers restaurant ,you can choose from sitting inside, on the terrace iverlooking the emma bridge or in the cozy courtyard, nice menu and also a nice upstairs bar if all you want are drinks

  Good restaurant at the Handelskaai with superb staff. The menu is not super large but the dishes are delicious. Definitely, try out the Antillian specialties; you can ask the waiters for help with your choice, they are very friendly and helpful. The view is also nice, especially at night when you can see the floating bridge at the Handelskaai illuminated in various colors. The bridge regularly opens such that the boata can pass.

  keep combing back here, a highlight to every Curacao trip. Dedicated manager and his staff , Authentic food , good wine, good seating. Both waterfront view , and the back a hidden yard with an spacious seating and a romantic lighting quiet music and overall enchanting atmosphere

  Best meal and service for the price that we had during our entire stay on Curacao. Sit on the balcony and watch the ships go by or enjoy the gorgeous garden. The Kabritu Curry, lobster soup, and shrimp appetizer were excellent! Everyone in our party of eight loved their meals.

  This is my second visit to Gouverneur and the reason I came back is because I still cant get one of their appetizers out of my mind these two years later. Unfortunately it was no longer on the menu but now I have another great experience to reminisce on. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. I did not have to wait long to have my dishes removed or my drinks replenished. And the most important part, the food was delicious.

  Signature burger was compressed and dense, not very signature. Carib chicken salad was better. Service started well and then disappeared. 12 minutes after we requested our check we went to the bar and found him cleaning glasses.
  
  Parking authority was booting cars as we were leaving... not very friendly. We left quickly.
  
  We won't be coming back.

  Amazing local dishes.. ceviche of wahoo and aloe vera. Very cool. Great flavor. Also had keshi yena (cheese with chicken, tastes like enchiladas) and karni stoba (beef stew). Everything was top notch. Great service, excellent decor and atmosphere. Got to come back again to try their grilled items from the Green Egg Grill.

  The service was slow despite being one of the first to be seated. I ordered the daily fresh fish which was Wahoo and it was not cooked through. I expected a better standard for this restaurant.

  Call ahead for a seat on the porch, where you will have a front seat view on the bridge and the well know view on Punda. Food is good enough, but the location really makes this place to a must visit in Willemstad
