Cute little port. We visited I. February with Carnival Sunshine Cruise. We didn’t go past customs so between the boat and customs there is at a whole lot. There are several stores and booths but that’s about it. It looked like they are working and building more on the port.

Small cruise terminal but with several shops and free Wi-Fi. Sometimes the Wi-Fi can be slow due to many people online the same time. But it is better than the ships expensive wifi.

Small area to disembark and tourist trap time you arrive. There is an information desk immediately upon exiting port area that is very helpful with any questions you may have. Easy departure in a secured area. Tour guides are kept outside the gate so you are not stormed time.you come.off the ship.

This Review is to Avis which is located on MegaPier but not marked separate. Anyways, the story is that on Nov 28/2017 we made a reservation 1 month ago, all was set and I also have an email conformation and also confirmed appointment with a stuff. All was pretty much set perfectly from my side as I am not renting 1st time in my life.

Once we arrived from our Cruise, we went to the office where actually was other 2 couples and had same issue as we. The problem was that they said, we sold your reservation to others and we don’t have anymore cars, sorry, you have to go to Budget :( WOW!!! What is this???? How is it possible?? What kind of organization is it? So pretty much all our driving plans, we planned in advance were ruined due we couldn’t get a car from Avis who sent us to Budget, who didn’t have cars as well.

At least let me know in advance, sorry but due to some condition your reservation is canceled so I can plan something else in advance, for instance - excursions from the shore and etc.

AVIS IN CURACAO IS THE WORST CAR RENTAL!

Free wifi! We were the second ship to dock at the new Pier which is adjacent to the old Pier. It's an incredibly long walk from the new pier to the kiosks at the old Pier so if you're disabled this would be very hard to do. We found the heat made it difficult for most people. Luckily they did have lots of seating up on the way and it was covered so it was shaded. Once again we were besieged by tour operator's still we paid half the price as the ship and kept running into other passengers from our ship at the stops. Originally we waited in a nice air conditioned bus but we're later moved to one with open windows :(. Our host Margaret was very knowledgeable and a real treasure.

If I could bypass walking through another cruise ship terminal for the rest of my life, I would, but I can't so I can offer that this was probably the least obnoxius terminal I've ever been to.

Not sure why this terminal is called a "Mega" terminal..Perhaps because it is much larger than the boat ramps. However it is not large enough for a cruise ship. Only half of the ship fits the dock.
Other than that the terminal is clean, well maintained, secure and not crowded with vendors.

Curacao has a nice peer. There are a Mall with many shopping opportunities. It's a short walk from the peer to the downtown of Willemstad.

This is one of the cleanest, most scenic cruise docks I've been to. You get a great view of town, the expansive bridge, and of the shoreline. You'll find a few people along the way trying to hawk their goods. No one is pushy though.

The shopping is near the ship dock and everything is clean and nice with great views of the water and cruise ship. They have seating along the water which is good also.

Pretty well organized for Cruise ship passengers. There are places to take a taxi or a bus tour and some basic shopping. Shore excursions are well organized as well.
