  We spent a lovely relaxing afternoon this week with Maxie Sailing. It was very professionally run from first enquiry til the end. The tapas style food was amazing for the whole family. The boat was very comfortable under motor and sail and Hilde and Norbert were great with our children. They provided noodles and snorkel masks and we spent over an hour in the water, though we later found the snorkeling generally to be better elsewhere around the island. However I did see a ray on this trip and interesting birds around the beaches too!

  Hilde and Norbert were both personable and knowledgeable and we enjoyed every minute of sailing with them. They made the boat ride fun and interesting (we bombarded them with tons of questions). The food that Hilde made was delicious and we would highly highly recommend!

  The sailing experience was majestic. But the reality of choosing Maxie is that it's about so much more than just the sailing. As hosts, Hilde and Norbert curate a day that is so full, it'll feel like you're on their boat for 2 or 3 days. From the welcome drinks, to the delicious and thoughtfully prepared food, to the beautiful scenery, to the serene, private waters, to the aforementioned companythis was easily our favorite experience in Curacao.
  
  The energy was so positive coming off the trip that we got engaged that same night. If you want a time you'll never forget and desperately want to do again very soonbook this trip.

  I have booked a sailing trip with Maxie Sailing as a surprise for my girlfriend and it was an incredibly memorable experience we can only recommend! We got picked up with a car by the hosts (Hilde & Norbert) and they helped in keeping the sailing trip as a surprise, it was a lot of fun to play secretive until we arrived at the port from where we left off. When we got on the boat we got greeted with drinks & snacks and they even played Happy Birthday in the background, which was a nice and personal touch to our trip. My girlfriend was extremely happy about the surprise. Before we set sail the hosts explained everything in case of emergencies and also all the rules for the boat, so we felt completely safe. We sat down on the front deck and just enjoyed the amazing view. During the sailing trip the host attended us with drinks and more snacks (amazing homemade dips) and also helped in taking pictures of us. After a while we stopped at a bay where we could jump off the boat into the water and swim around there. We saw pelicans and some fish and just enjoyed having the bay completely to ourselves. During our trip Hilbert & Norbert provided amazing service with the perfect balance between accommodating us while also giving us privacy to enjoy the experience at the same time. We can definitely recommend a sailing trip with Maxie Sailing for everyone who wants to have a memorable and special experience on Curacao - after all this stunning island is best discovered on a boat.

  Hilde and Norbert are not only phenomenal people, they think of every detail to make your sailing experience memorable. My husband planned a private charter for my birthday and i was completely blown away. The boat was gorgeous, the snacks provided were home made and delicious, and Hilde made sure that we were comfortable at all times. We have been on quite a few private charters before, but watching these two operate with such precision, we knew we were in good hands. I highly recommend Maxie Sailing if you want a top notch experience on the water.
