We had lunch here and it was a great. We ordered their fish of the day over rice and it was delicious. Great spot for dining along the beach and to watch the sunset. You can also spend the day their tanning and go into their beach, amazing for snorkeling.

Karakter is in a beautiful natural setting, well designed, and surprisingly delightful. We ordered the appetizer paella and it was truly delicious. Unlike many other places on this island the service was first rate.

Very average place. Food is plain and very typical Caribbean fare. Restaurant was marketed and one of the best restaurants in Curaçao and for Curaçao sake I hope it’s not the case.
At any rate, do not fall for reviews and check the menu before making a plans for dinner.
We were underwhelmed and thoroughly disappointed with plain food, lack of choices and overall mediocrity.
Also, location is so remote, I guess residents of luxury community restaurant located in, are the main patrons and basically forced to go there as there is literally nothing palatable within 20km radius. They are the ones who probably write all the positive reviews.
Will not go back or recommend this unless you right there, very hungry and have no gas in your car.

Last week I ate a fish there, it was delicious yesterday I went with my family to ate there. I choose the same fish but it wasn't delicious like the week before, it was very salty. My two kids also didn't like the food either

Gorgeous views, very romantic settings. The rooftop bar is the real spot though, super cool staff and a gorgeous infinity pool with a beautiful view.

This place is very difficult to find in its current state. Most of the signs pointing the way are overgrown and faded, which is surprising considering it's nestled in the back of a gated community.

Once you find it though, the food is fantastic, the wait staff is attentive and friendly, and the view over the ocean is stunning.

Good atmosphere and beautiful view of the sea, but the glorious pool is not very nice because it is alright deep; The glow pool is not such a good choice. The sea is beautiful for snorkeling, you have to do that is really beautiful. So character is a good choice. The food is delicious and they have a lot of drinks with all the fruit in it. So I could eat there.

Great place to hang out, enjoy the view and have some lunch. You enter via the Coral Estate residence where you have to show an ID per car. You can also go for a swim to see some coral and small colourful fishes. Prices for the food are not too bad.

Stopped by on a whim after touring the Sanchez Gallery nearby. You get a parking pass at the Coral Estates entrance and follow the road to the waterside parking lot. You will walk past the pool into the Koraal bar and wonder where Karakter is. Go down the stairs to the left of Koraal and then turn right. You can sit on the beach with a shade cover or by the bar under a roof. Our initial service was slow while our waitress filled out the daily chalk board, so we ordered at the bar, but after that we had attentive service. The menu has salads, Gazpacho, burger, chicken sandwich plus several other entrees and shareable appetizers. The burger and Gazpacho were both quite good, and including sodas and water, $30 for a beach lunch for 2nseemed quite reasonable.

I was here with my husband and 2 daughter's on the 12th of febr. One day after my 60th birthday, and we felt so happy! The food was good, the staff was very friendly and the sunset was great. I recomment everybody to visit Karakter!

Great friendly staff, great views, free sunbeds !! Amount of sunbeds is limited though, so come early. Rocky beach strip, but a great spot to lounge, sunbath and have a nice meal. Recommended. Its located on The Coral Estate near Porto Marie.
