  We spent a week at the Holiday Home Hope. It was my husband, my 9 year old daughter, and myself. It was an affordable and very comfortable way to spend a week in curacao.
  
  If you plan on staying here you need a car. There is a very good grocery store in Barber about 10 mins by car away. There are also two very good restaurants within walking distance. We rented a car that was parked safely behind the locked gate at night.
  
  The house had a cooler for taking food to the beach. That was awesome. We made bacon and eggs for breakfast and ate on the out door patio and packed a lunch. Then we ate out at the restaurants for dinner.
  
  The beach is only a 1 minute walk away.
  
  There are 5+ beaches that are all within a 30 minute drive of the house. Each beach has different, but amazing snorkeling that is very accessible from the beach. Curacao is a snorkelers dream!
  
  Both bedrooms in the house are Air Conditioned so that is good for sleeping, but the living room gets very hot. We found if we left windows open at night you got bit by lots of bugs. So just in the evening we put the AC on and opened the doors to the rooms and blew the air around with the fan. It was still warm, but with all the windows closed there were less bug bites.
  
  The house had sufficient dishes, and cooking tools. There were no spices at all. So we bought some salt and pepper and left it there. You may want to bring some of your own spices from home if you want them for cooking.
  
  Tap water is drinkable, but very warm. We bought an extra water jug and left it there so you can have two water jugs cold in the fridge.
  
  USD or NAF are both accepted everywhere you go as forms of currency. We found it hard to find a bank or ATM and managed with the USD we bought along. If you were willing to drive to Willemstad finding a bank would not be hard. We just didn't really want to go there and didn't really need to.
  
  We would definitely rent this property again. The lady who met us when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. She was there when we arrived and left as was reachable by email all week. The house has good wifi as well.
