Very good, fresh and authentic. This place is a must for a fresh taste of local. The atmosphere is original. We were here before the busy season and were seated next to the water and had the place to ourselves while locals came frequently to pick up to go orders.

Unfortunately we have to give only one star as we had a pretty bad experience here. We were really hopeful due to the pictures and the very good rating The people don't speak English at all so they asked a local gentleman to help us out with the order. We (2 people) ordered a mixed plate of shrimps, karko and a fish fillet with fries and polenta. We got 3 plates with 3 side dishes after 65!! minutes of waiting (we were the only ones ordering food). The flies were disturbingly flying to the shrimps, we could not eat it, it was stinky, we had to remove it from the table to be able to eat the rest. We ate the karko and the red snapper (that we didn't even order - we wanted a fillet fish), had 2 beers and the final bill was $89. They have no menu with prices so they couldn't even prove the prices were correct. We were even called 'mafia' when we questioned the value and wanted to negotiate a more reasonable price. Somehow the, came up with a suddenly discounted price of $75 but it was still unreasonably high for 2 people. They even wanted to call the police. Finally they let us go with $60 but they were still shouting at us while we were leaving.
    Worst experience in 2 weeks.

If you are in the Piscadera Bay area, as our hotel was, then you must come here for lunch. The setting is a simple, very airy shack on the water, with about 8-10 tables. It sits on water's edge on the bay, rustic and just plain authentic simplicity. The food is fresh and cooked in a spicy fashion. The shrimp had a 'kung pao' like flavor and the red snapper which I devoured was breath-takingly fresh (see pics). Beyond cool!

Local and absolutely amazing. The best meal I had on my trip. So good I had to come back a second time. Bring a book or friends as all the food is cooked from fresh, but is worth the wait.
