Our go to restaurant in Santa Maria! (We ate here 4 times!!!) Don't be put off by the simple interiors, if you're looking for good value and delicious seafood, this is the place to be. You can easily get a main for under 10 euros and honestly, everything was delicious. We tried it out on our first night here and we just kept coming back as we fell in love with the seafood rice and also the garlicky marinade that they use with their wahoo/tuna steaks (much better than cafe criolo's). Oh, and their fries are surprisingly delicious. Other recommendations include the percebes (goose-neck barnacles) which are a delicacy of the Iberian peninsula, super weird looking but they taste like crunch little, phallic shaped clams. Oh and you can have some of the cheapest cocktails in Santa Maria here! Service was good for Cape Verdean standards, once our drinks didn't taste like they had alcohol in them, and they exchanged them for us for free.
