Cute, quaint restaurant down a closed off and beautifully decorated alley. Best steak we had on the island (to be fair, I was more focused on lobster, octopus and percebes!). Extremely friendly service. Book way ahead!
Every time we go to cape Verde we eat at this restaurant. Undoubtedly the best place to eat on the island, the steaks are to die for..... Give the hot sauce a miss though.... ridiculously hot. Make sure you book, they only have 2 sittings and the place is tiny but it's always full.
Lovely place with great food and nice people, what else to say...o yeah, make a rezervation in advance
It's OK.
You have other choices like Americos restaurant or the best one in Hotel Odjodagua - Farolim restaurant.
For fast food maybe the Caranguejo or Genuíno.
For a relaxing meal you have the green 32 store with live music... and more.
Niche little restaurant. Food cooked to perfection as per request. Was reccomended by our TUI rep Hannah. A must do restaurant if visiting the area. Need to book a few days in advance but worth the wait.
This place is really small! 8 tables or so. Two seetings nightly. Reservations are necessary! The place seems to get some cred just from being small and therefore requiring reservations... Food is not bad but not better than most other places in Santa Maria. Inexpensive.
Great place with delicious food, an amazing atmosphere and fantastic Italian host Herbert. Boopa-dee Bappa-dee! A must visit!
What a great little restaurant properly the best meal we ate in cape Verde. If you walked past it in the day properly wouldn't give it a second glance but do try it out excellent food wine and service make sure you book great experience and not over priced
For Cape Verde this is a great restaurant. Owner/chef is a relocated Italian guy who offers an authentic Italian menu.
Cosy atmosphere with amazing food and wine. Make a reservation in advance. Enjoy and go for the specials.
Chez Pastis was the most incredible, Interesting place we have ever been too & explaining the experience is difficult as it so unique, small gorgeous restaurant placed in an alley way between two building, it has no roof but has amazing old vine tree covering where roof would be, walls are painted bright red stone wash with painted window frames on wall, floor is made from cobble stones, it only holds 20 people.Herbert the Owner was a lovely Italian guy, and the best Host ever. Then we come to food, wow it was amazing never tasted steak cooked so good it melted in your mouth. Herbet wouldn't let us leave without a turning all lights off and surprising me with a birthday cake with sparklers amazing 50th birthday Thank you Herbert and Team
Great little restaurant that's nestled between two buildings with just a tree for a roof! Excellent service and great food - like it so much we went twice in one week. There are two sittings per day, one at 6.30, and a later one at 8.45. You need to book ahead - very popular.
This place is famed for the beef, although I had seafood on both occasions, and was great each time.
The Chef Pastis, owner and headchef, is a very friendly and easy going person.
The food is made with love and you can tell he really enjoy serving every single dish with the highest standard.
Everything is fresh, tasty and affordable for the quality you'll find there.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that fancy a chilled and relax atmosphere restaurant and an excellent kitchen.
Floor staff is also 5 stars, they arent the kind to ignore you or pass by you pretending not to see you. Excellent customer focus.
Tiny restaurant with bags of character and superb, freshly made, food. The tagliatelle with prawns and gorgonzola cheese sauce is amazing and there are great steak dishes as well. Reserve in advance though as gets booked up for days ahead.
