I loved discovering Havana with Rutabikes!
Although I lived in Havana for 10 months, the sunset tour allowed me to discover new hidden spots of the city.
My guide, Alejandro, is such a nice and talkative guy - he's knowledgeable about Cuban history, and he was stimulating my curiosity all the time. I would suggest to ride with Rutabikes on your first day in town, you will have an overview of the city and you will be able to see which neighbours attract more your attention.
Plus, Ruabikes is located in a very nice area, in front of a wifi park, and their bikes are easy to ride.
Best tour in town. I've taken 4 tours in havana and this one is by far the best.
Friendly tour that you can take a glance remarkable places in Havana at once. It takes 4~5 hours and 30 cuc per person. They don't force you to buy anything during the tour. You can find similar but cheaper bike trip (including cemetery entrance which Ruta didn't offer) on airbnb website, though.
A must do when you are in Havana, even when you are on an organised trip. Don't let people scare you that's it's dangerous. It's not at all! The streets are wide and the traffic is very calm. Thanks again Ruta Bikes, we really enjoyed the Sunset City Tour (12 people, October 2017, all from Holland).
Our biketour was amazing. Our guide, Orlando, took us to beautifull places around Habana. We made around 11 great stops during the tour where the guide shared his knowledge in fluent English.
Because of the heat and long distance, it was not as easy as writing the alphabet but we were very satisfied at the end of the tour. We visited places we didn't see before in Havana on professional, good equiped bikes.
Very good tour with a very good guide, I would definitely recommend and do it even twice!
The worst tour ever!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! English guide doesn't know English???
I lost knowledge wth this tour!!!
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Rented bikes for a week. They were great.
This was a great tour and I'm really glad I got to see the city this way. Our tour guide was knowledgable, friendly and made sure everyone kept to the group. Great for all levels - I highly recommend!
More of a ride along than a tour. Good way to explore the city and beautiful scenery riding down the Malecon during sunset but the tour guide on our day did not provide much of narrated tour but just shuffled us from site to site. There is a trap at one of the stops - Hamel Alley (which is otherwise a fascinating area) where you are pressured to buy art/CDs/mojitos - beware.
