  Situated in Buey Arriba, this river park was simply beautiful. The hike to the river beaches and water access requires sturdy shoes and an adventurous spirit as most trails are local paths taken by people and horses! But the payoff is more than worth it. I recommend taking pool shoes as the River rocks are slick with mud and algae footing can be precarious but the water was glorious!

  Sí quieres estar en el punto más alto de Cuba tendrás que subir al Turquino 1974 m. No es mucha altura pero la caminata es muy dura por el desnivel acumulado. Vale la pena. Bosque humedo , vegetación autóctona y la posibilidad de ver al colibrí más pequeño del menos y al tocororo, pájaro insignia de Cuba.

  Nach einer Anmeldung kann man den Nationalpark besichtigen und hier auch hier auch Fidel Castros Kommandozentrale von 1959 finden.
  Wie überall auf Kuba ist die Natur einfach traumhaft!
