  Very beautiful church situated near Theatre America. Nice and polite churchgoers. I have noticed that a Cuban flag must always be placed at the entrance near a figure os some saint. I asked some questions to the faithful but none of them spoke English.

  Beautiful looking open air church. Apparently the "Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Monserrate" or the "Church of Our Lady of Montserrat" was rebuilt in this location in 1844 and is where Jose Marti was baptised and his parents married.
  
  Also the old name of the street was Galiano and has been renamed Avenida de Italia. So you will find references to both names in some places.
