Very nice and calm place
The view is amazing, the staff is allright, the rooms are okay and the pool is a bit to hot.
We visited this hotel because we had been told that the pool was lovely and accessible for $7.00. Upon our arrival we were told that the pool was "broken". It looked fine but we did not question the statement. Later, we saw many guest swimming in the pool so evidently it was "broken" only for some people. We decided to stay for lunch and with each item we were told "we don't have that today". We finally asked what they had and were told: "Ham and Cheese Sandwich", "Ham Sandwich", "Cheese Sandwich". At least we found humor in the offerings.
Fab out of towels. Curt/rude staff
Beautiful, the view is amazing, a bit far from the city, but its ok. Friendly staff, not the best food in the world, and of course, they have internet, but you have to pay.

Contributors oft refer to the splendid views from this well-placed hotel, but we were interested on eating, too when we booked to stay. It was dire. We settled for the view. The only similar dining experience I recall was at a Cambodian roadside hut. We left early, with deep sympathy for those who couldn't tunnel out.
We were at La Ermita in December 2014. It was a typically cuban hotel, with cuban standards. The breakfast was good, with a lot of fresh fruits. The hotel restaurant in the evening wasn't very tasty, especially for this high prices it was not enough. The rooms are clean, the service was okay, the pool was also ok. The view from the hotel was amazing. The landscape was unique, you should be in Vinales there at least two days.
Next to the hotel there are two private restaurants which are very lovely and the food was delicious!
