Very old-school Soviet style decor, not much room or facility. Lift is extremely small, some rooms have no real windows. Quite expensive. The breakfast is pretty bad.

The location is great. Room was what i expected from a 2 star. Clean and practical. Resto attached to hotel was a great addition as well. I would stay there again.

This hotel is a nightmare! Never ever again! I would rather sleep in a garbage. Its dirty, there was blood and poop at the tolilette seat!!! Staff is rude, unfriendly, jgnoring guests. Ive never wrote any bad opinion about any company, but this time i just have to. Dont use elevator, sometimes it stops for hours
And they dont care. You can stuck there and its super tiny elevator. Aircon doesnt work, no window, like in w coffin. Loud and smells horrible. We came late at night and receptionist said we havent paid for the room. Of course we paid i had confirmation. I asked if she can call to the company where we booked the hotel. She said she cant and its not her business. We can go away or pay cash for the night!! We paid cause it was late and i didnt have any internet to find a hotel.

Had dinner here, the owner and his family turned the balcony space into a quaint dining space that over looks all of Prado!!! Enjoy a home cooked meal and possible go dance with the family. If the owner likes you he tends to party and dance harder than no other man I have seen at his age. Love HAVANA!! MI CORAZON ES IN CUBA

It's a budget hotel (really, almost a hostel). Its best feature is its central location on the Prado (next to Old Havana, and adjacent to the main attractions of Central Havana), so you will not be spending money on taxis, and you can go out at night without worrying about how you will arrive home.

However, this is not a family hotel, or a place where you would take your girlfriend: it's very, very basic. Kind of a conveniently located backpacker place. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your hotel, except to sleep, it's just fine.

    Also

    1. It does not provide a buffet breakfast like other Havana hotels. Breakfast consisted of 1 bun, 1 egg, 1 cup of chicory coffee. If you are hungry in the morning, you might want to try a budget hotel with a buffet breakfast (like the Colina).
    2. Some of the rooms have no windows. Air conditioning is fine, though.
    3. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bartender is the Chair of the Cuban Bartenders Association, so you will be served quality cocktails.

The best part of this hotel is its location. We went to Havana with the purpose of doing a walking tour and this hotel was the perfect home base for that. The staff are friendly, the included breakfast is not fancy but edible and enough to get you started, the rooms are clean (although the air conditioners are quite loud and will interrupt your sleep so bring ear plugs). The only downside is they accept neither credit cards nor foreign currency so if you need to check out late make sure you have enough CUCs. If I return to Havana I would stay there again.

This hotel was in a great great location, close to the malecon and the boulevard. We pretty much walked everywhere in Cuba. The restaurant was really good, amazing ham and cheese sandwiches and mochas!! Breakfast was delicious! Staff was friendly! For a place to just come back to sleep, shower and eat it was PERFECT!!

A no frills hotel with a perfect location to explore Old Havana and Centro Havana from.
It's on Paseo del Prado, which is a beautiful boulevard where locals hang and socialize.
Regular sized rooms with decent amenities.
Breakfast is not buffet, as in most hotels in Havana.

The Pros: location, location, location. You are a stone's throw away from Old Havana, the Capitol, the Malecon and on a pretty street to boot. The staff is very friendly and willing to help without a moment's hesitation. The rooms are clean with great A/C, and the bathrooms have everything except shampoo.

The Cons: only 4 rooms have a window to the outside. Otherwise, it's like an inside cabin in a cruise ship: you have no sense of time of day. If you want a hot shower, you have to time it so that the hot water heater had time to warm it up (3 am is a good bet). Otherwise, the water is luke-warm or tepid at best.

Overall, an excellent value for money considering how close you are to the interesting stuff, and the people working there are very nice.
