Nice place, friendly dining and bar staff.. beware of front desk hotel staff over charging for "upgrades". Our room did not have adequate ventilation or AC.. Did not have a light in the bathroom as well. But we did not allow all these things did not ruin our time there. We loved their beautiful beach from area and the lobby far was always alot of fun.

The hotel was terrible. The rooms were out of shape and the hallway looked like an abandoned building as there were leaks through the ceiling and walls. The bedroom had bed bugs and ants and the hotel had barley any entertainment whatsoever. The hotel seemed to be more for locals and not for tourist. I recommend everyone who wants to experience Cuba as tourist to NOT go to Bella Costa.

Hotel is definitely not a 3 star more like a 4 star. While the rooms need some love. The grounds are beautiful. As someone who loves food the was good. Lunch was definitely the best meal. The lunch buffet at the beach front restaurant always had great food. Dinner food was good flavour but repetitive. The staff were interesting. They were very friendly to Caucasian guest but not overly friendly to people of colour. It was a compliant that I heard from many families while there. It was hard to get service at dinner and breakfast from the staff. The main lobby bar was great and staff were super friendly and very accommodating there. Views from ocean view bungalows were amazing! About the rooms. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. They were old and lumpy. So if relaxing in your room is your thing it's a little tough. Also the air conditioner in a room caused a condensation build up on the ceilings that caused water to drip on the tile floors. I hate a pretty bad fall.so we had to put towels down on the floor. Which fixed the problem! Just be careful. Overall this resort is nice. The beach is amazing.

The resort is perfect. Small but not crowded. Staff are amazing especially at the beach restaurant. Stayed in the villas and they are spacious and clean. We have a living room and wrap around balcony. Perfect for your morning coffee. Food is good, you can always find something to eat. Remember it's Cuba. The beach restaurant has amazing view! The only negative thing I can say is the servers in the buffet by the lobby are kinda rude but aside from that everything is very good. Beach is gorgeous!

The Bella Costa was probably one of the best resorts I've stayed at for a number of reasons. First - when staying in Cuba you have to know that there are a number of standards that may differ from what you expect. With that being said, the food at the Bella Costa was good. You won't go hungry and the fresh orange juice at breakfast was amazing! It's a smaller resort which I actually tend to enjoy. The room we stayed in in the Villas was amazing; clean, working A/C, 2 bathrooms, large bed, with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. The beach is gorgeous (though we only had a few days of sun to enjoy it - can't change the weather!) and the water is crystal clear. What really makes this hotel experience though is the staff. They care about their guests and really do truly seem to want to make the experiences amazing. Everyone is friendly and eager to help. Bartenders are good and - lets just say the drinks are not watered down like some places I've stayed! If you're on the fence, don't be. Negative reviews happen because people like to complain, and are used to the comforts of home. Even with limited services, poverty and everything that comes with it - Cuba is a wonderful country. The people are great in and out of the resort and the Bella Costa is one of the gems of Varadero.

Ese hotel no debe venderse como 4 estrella, las habitaciones pésimas la comida podía ser mucho mejor, la atención malísima, mi grupo de amigos y yo estamos muy descontentos con el hotel. Que me disculpen los que se molestarán con esta opinión pero sólo digo la verdad. Amigos míos tuvieron que dormir sin aire acondicionado porque no funcionaba, los minibar no enfriaban las sábanas con mal olor, nada de confort esas habitaciones.

This hotel has a beautiful view of Varadero beach. The best parts were the activities, DJs, and music by the pool, lunch buffet and BBQ/pizza served outdoors, and the cafe/lobby bars. However, customer service was poor and many workers ignored you or had a bad attitude when you needed help and service, especially the servers at breakfast and dinner and housekeepers. The rooms were not very clean and the hotel is old/not updated. The bed sheets had stains, water in the shower did worked well in the other room, TV did not work in another, and we noticed how the housekeeping ladies cleaned the rooms way too fast. We were all locked out with our door keys 2 hours before check out. The nightly dance shows were okay. This hotel has the potential to be better if they made improvement and trained their employees.

It is very overpriced, terrible rooms, so-so servicebut price label of a 4 star hotel vacationNothing close to.
It was an awful experience from beginning to the end. The hotel is nothing close to 4 stars, in best case is 1.
Third time at the same hotel, the same time.
Worst room ever, broken chair, hols on the bathroom floor.
Food was getting gradually worst within the 3 years that I've been going to this same hotel, this time I GOT SICK, for the first time, have been to Cuba 11 times. As a result spent 2 very expensive days in the room.
Service was poor as well, long wait for simple service, such as a glass of water, dirty glasses and cups on regular basis.
The drinks highly diluted, I mean more than usual, served with some very cheap slushies that they call juice.
There was no black tea even, only mint and chamomile.
Half of the staff don't understand and speak English, very hard to get even hot water for the tea that I had brought from home, knowing
No towels as usual, it is impossible to obtain a beach towel during the first 2 days, never mind exchanging it for a clean one, basically there is only a guy and a sign, saying "sorry no towels".
The entertainment also became skimpy, no variety, just half an hour of the same dancing each night.
The management of the hotel couldn't care less either, but there are enough of them

Wir sind leider wieder zu Hause angekommen. Es war ein unvergesslicher Urlaub mit unheimlich viel Charme, freundlichen und sehr netten Personal und Leuten.
Das Hotelzimmer ist sicherlich etwas in die Jahre gekommen, doch wer keinen Urlaub in einem Zimmer verbringen möchte und Land und Leute näher kennenlernen möchte, trifft hier die richtige Wahl.

The resort changed names. I went there back in 2014. It was quite okay. I love the fact that the Massari crew and Z103 always host parties at this resort. Decent food, a party resort! The rooms are very dated, specially the bathroom. We did not spend so much time in the room to complain about it.
