What a treat! Absolutely take the tour. And before you go be sure to read “The Old Man and the Sea.” Hemingway lived here for 22 years and this was the source of inspiration for many stories including that one. Worth the trip to see the estate.

To fully appreciate this museum, you must get the "talkthrough" historic tour that will give you the background on why this is so important to Cuban culture.

This place is great to see for any Hemingway fan. Altho you can't walk around inside, the doors and windows are all open, and staff will even take pictures for you. While i get some people do not like this, i really respect their attempt to kerp the home just as Hemingway left it. It also preserves the beautiful hand oainted tiling. Many people are also not aware the small round ceramic bull art piece is an original Picasso, given to Hemingway by the artist.

I don't personally have any special relationship with Ernest hemingway, however I found this to be a very interesting look into the everyday life of a very interesting man. For fans of the Ernest hemingway this is a must see place.

Really enjoyed being here and seeing Hemingway's house. A very interesting piece of information is the fact that he has graves of his pets in the backyard. You can see his boat and walk around the house which makes for a very enjoyable sightseeing trip.

Interesting place to visit for Hemingway fans, or for people interested in the lifestyle of rich people living in the 1940s. You can visit Hemingway's villa (from the outside, but you get a good peak into the rooms through the opened doors and windows), as well as the pool area and the famous boat Pilar in which Hemingway went for fishing.

The place was crowded with tourists. We arrived with our own car, and you can drive through the gate to a parking spot in front of the villa. Don't worry about the buses taking the same driveway, they will just unload the tourists and continue without occupying your parking space.

There is a cabin where you can ask for tour guides, but unfortunately no one was available. Maybe you need to call them in advance for a reservation.

Step into the past at this magnificent place! You're not actually allowed inside of the house, but everything is kept open and you can get a surprisingly intimate look at everything. As a bookworm and lover of literature, this was by far my favorite attraction in Cuba.

A must visit place. Discover how Ernest Hemingway lived in Cuba.

The visitors cannot enter the villa itself and wander through the rooms. Instead the windowns are wide open so one can peek to see how Hemingway lived.

It is claimed that the furniture and everything in the house is exactly as Hemingway left it off.

Definitely worth the visit. I loved the sugarcane, lime and pineapple drink sold at the snack bar.
