A nice beach for snorkeling. Lots of fish and coral. About a 30 minute drive from Varadero. 10 CUC for he snorkeling tour. But it is a public beach and you could bring your own gear and go out on your own.
I dove here and there was alot to see and alot of live coral but its not something that would not be very accessible to snorkelers. Most of the coral close to the beach is in very bad condition so you can believe the dead coral reviews.. you have to get far out into deeper water.. not reccommended for snorkeling or to explore without a dive guide.. in fact it is reopened now however it was closed for a couple of years to let the coral heal as it gets damaged by peoples fins and their desire to touch things a quick message to would be snorkelers dont touch Coral .. and wear a rash suit to protect you from the sun while snorkeling as sunscreen also damages Coral.. Coral reefs is where life begins in the ocean.. so it deserves the utmost respect.. also much of it can hurt you enough to wreck your vacation..
With stinging venomous nematocysts people call it fire coral for a reason lije most things in this world if its really pretty it can hurt you..lol
For diving: nothing compared to Egypt. For beach: varadero is sand, and coral is rocks. But it was the best snorkeling experience in Cuba.
Should be called Coral grave instead all the coral was dead, I ignored other reviews warning about this thinking maybe they went to a bad location but I went up and down a few miles through out my stay and snorkeling was a disappointment saw very few fish and maybe 4 small corals
Fun beach with white sand and coral mix. Free entry, and there's a small shop that offers food and drink.
Good sea life in the water with lots of tropical fish and stingrays. Makes for a fun time!
It was a dirty beach. I saw some nice fish but definitely no corals.
Fun dive, great beach, decent food. Would return.
Cool Beach spot for snorkeling
Not quite what I was expecting and the snorkeling rental was a bit overpriced at $10 CUC. Coral was pretty but the waves can get kind of intense and for novices like myself, might not be the best location to get your feet wet, so to speak. Only way to get here is a taxi. The pina colada I had was quite good.
La comida deja mucho que desear y la playa nos es nada especial. Para buceo y snorkeling mejor el puesto habilitado para ello 500m antes de la playa.
Muito bom, vale mt a pena o passei.
Sehr empfehlenswert.
Quiet place, very basic, not at all Varadero style. You can do scubadiving with a guide there. A lot of fishes.
Nice for snorkeling.
