a tourist from Canada, I'm not used to such a compelling look at history
and i could wander the park adjacent for a few days each year for the rest of my life / it was that sort of an afternoon ;
if you see little else on your visit (I was most impressed by the park), check out those remarkable double doors and try to imagine the sort of strife waiting on just the other side.

Most amazing place to see while in Santiago de Cuba. Please, enter the building. The interior is where the treasure is. Entrance is free however, a small donation helps poor people and maintaining the building.I took the most amazing pics

You can climb up to the right tower of the cathedral. It's definitely worth it.
