Very few tobacco end of november, only a few new plants. But the fabrication of the cigars is well shown and explained

We were at October there. Unfortunately at this time is not much to see in tobacco production.
We bought some cigars. The quality they sold was really moderate, some had faults in color some also holes from bugs.
The also sell rum, be carefully the wants to charge 20 CUC for a bottle. which cost in the rum facotry at pinar del rio 4 CUC.
All over we think this is a pure rip-off.response / report this review -

I went there on a 1 day trip from Havana. (before that we stopped at prehistoric murales) I do recommend it. I saw there, for the first time in my life. REAL tobacco plantation, the farmer demonstrated the process of cigaro making, you could buy it - which I did - for 10 CUCs only ( a bundle of 10 ) which is much, much cheaper than in Havana from street sellers. These people are really nice, charming and hospitable.

Aquí puedes comprar un puro hecho en directo delante de ti y explicado paso a paso por un señor muy amable. El puro que puedes comprar es muy económico, pero la calidad del mismo no es la mejor, es más por el recuerdo.

If you want to see how they dry up the tobacco leaves to turn them into cigars, this is a good place to go and see, purchase is allowed.

Straight up tourist trap. I bought a cigar from them and they were trying to push me to buy a large bundle of 20 cigars. As soon as I said no they started ignoring me and giving me dirty looks. The cigar that I bought was actually pretty bad. The wrapper wouldn't light to save it's life while the filler blazed away like a tinderbox. This can't even be blamed on humidity because cigars I bought at other farms had excellent burn despite being stored in the same ambient conditions.

A small tobacco plantation, they will show how the dry the tobacco leaves. You can buy cigars there 2 CUC each, the quality is quite good

Mantienen una plantacion para que los turistas puedan apreciar el arte que rodea al tabaco. Un artesano elabora puros a la vista de todos que vende a 1 CUC (1 euro) cada uno. Se puede visitar el secadero
