It was so cool I saw words people wrote on the cave
What a fun experience. The wait to board boats is a little annoying, but waiting in a cave is pretty fun.
It's a rather short cave , with few spectacular things , but the nice part about it is the water ride. After you walk for a few minutes you end up at what looks like a underground lake. There are bouts which take you on a short tour on this lake and then exit the cave in the other side. It's enjoyed it.
This is a fairly small cave and nothing too adventurous. There are walkways and steps built within the cave underneath the formations, so you can walk through easily.
There is a small boat ride at the end of the cave to come out. The cave overall is just about average I would say but I am saying this comparing it to the cave systems in Budapest which are arguably one of the best in the world.
In the beginning, there is a small stall that sells sugarcane juice with rum! Make sure you try that.
I would call this a tourist trap! The line to go on a 5 min boat ride was horrible, everyone standing single file almost the length of the cave!
take the santo tomas caves, the others are not interesting
An interesting and easy detour along the road out of Viňales. Involves an easy walk through the cave on a path and a boat ride through to the end. Very pleasant.
Lovely experience. Some sections of the cave have an unpleasnat odour though, so be prepared for that.
Pretty great place, but the information is kinda one sided
This place is a disappointment, and I would truly call it a tourist trap especially when you come by the tourist bus and the next one comes in an hour and a half.
The price is 5 CUC (or 5 CUP for locals), before entering the cave there are 2 people pretending to be natives and asking for tips.
The cave is about 200 meters of walking after which you get in the boat which takes you 100 meters into one direction, tells you the cave goes on for another kilometer and turns around, before you are allowed to get off you are handed a tip jar, after which the boat continues.
at the end of the boat trip there is an Ox you can take pictures of (for money) and some gift shops, the good thing is the gift shops are not overpriced.
A waste of money to see a simple cave.
I enjoyed this experience. We came with a guide during a day trip to Viñales who helped translate and explain for us.
At the end of the boat ride through the cave with a lovely man that allowed me to stand on the boat for better pics, a wonderful woman showed me how to make liquid cane sugar and I enjoyed a piña colada.
A pretty quick trip but I felt it was worth it and the waterfall at the end is a relaxing environment to be in.
This is an incredible cave you take a guided boat and enjoy the natural marvels inside.
Nice cave : a little walk, and after you take a boat inside the mogote !
E very nice and well preserved cave with a interesting boat ride at the end, a little bit overpriced but worth a visit
Went on a tour from Havana. Short pleasant boat ride through the cave.
Not the best cave in the world. We waited an hour for the boat ride. Was nothing I haven't seen before . I have seen caves in Puerto Rico and cancun that are bigger and have more waking you can do.if bored and nearby and can avoid the wait it's worth visiting.
The Indian cave is a short 10min taxi ride from Viñales and is well worth the 5CUC p.p entry… the boat ride is short, but breathtaking. Head there early to avoid the buses of tourists. You can ride from town, but it's not an easy ride despite what others may say.
