We enjoyed our stop at that rescue center (on the way b/w Sarapiqui and la Fortuna). Big and spacious grounds with lots of shade, interesting animals. Tapir, peccaries, monkeys, lots of parrots, etc. The only sad part is small cages for the big cats
I am glad we went (credit to some pics below goes to my son :)

Nice place for the kids
Great place. They have tapirs and scarlets too. The zoo is a little bit old but it is a safe place for injured animals. Please visit them to support this great people in their work.
Beautiful animals amazing job from the center
Great stop. We spent a couple of hours strolling and seeing all the animals. The people that work there are very nice. Entry is really cheap—8,000c for two adults and a child. Fun to see lots of different Costa Rican animals.
Great place money well spent
This was a great way to spend an afternoon in the mountains. Got to see multiple species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. Also has a beautiful walking gardens to just enjoy nature.
Amazing place. They keep all animals that are hurt and take care of them. Very inexpensive place to visit and it's a nonprofit organization.
Had a great time at the wildlife rehab - zoo.
