Awful customer service. Avoid at all cost. Went with my friend. I ordered a make your own wok with peanut sauce. First of all they put the wrong ingredients in. On top of that, to my knowledge peanut sauce is not spicy unless specified. It was not specified in the menu and waiter said nothing so I was surprised to see my dish covered with chili flakes. When asked the waiter what she could do to make it less spicy like add cream she just blankly stared into space. My friend's dish was cold, bland, and undercooked so once again we asked what could be done, blank stare, so we asked that they put it back in wok and they finally offered to make it again. And the night was.crowned by the owner literally yelling at us that we were cheap when we asked that they give us the right change. I have never been treated like this by a restaurant owner. She never tried to help, started yelling from the beginning. Avoid yourself a bad expensive night while on vacation.
Decent food. Service took a while. Sushi was less than ideal quality.
Food is ok. Service is really slow. Still waiting
Good food, but pricey.
I see your 3.8 stars and raise you FIVE stars. Here’s my experience: I had numerous meals here, because the expansive and eclectic menu made me come back to sample a little bit of everything. I walked right up, no reservations, and was seated immediately. Servers, menus, and drinks all came quickly without asking. For each meal, I asked my absolutely wonderful server, Kimberly, to be my culinary guide – each time she picked out dishes for me and I was never disappointed. She served up the a) Peking Duck tacos (fusion), which are succulent and savory, though they could go just a tad bit lighter on the duck/hoisin sauce; b) Bulgogi (Korean)--presented as a do-it-yourself wrap, which I’ve never seen and was so impressed by that I made it for my kids when I got home from CR; c) Bibimbap (Korean)— veggies, sprouts, and beef topped with a fried egg, all on a bed of steamed rice. Break the egg yolk, mix, and inhale the deliciousness; and d) Bo Bun Salad (Vietnamese) stir-fried beef over rice noodles, lettuce, cilantro, mint, mung bean sprouts, and a tangy dressing. Without exception, everything –the experience, the setting, the service, the food--was nothing short of amazing.
A delicious option for wok style food! Tons of healthy options for the vegetarian/vegans of the world as well. Definitely recommend this spot! They have both outdoor and indoor seating and it is centrally located in the center of Tamarindo.
Pricey, but a good place to get your Asian food fix. I had the Pho noodles which were great!
Expensive but the most tasteful restaurant we had the chance to experience in Tamarindo.
So disappointed that I went to an Oyster Bar and there weren't any oysters. I almost wanted to leave. My two stars go to the Tico Roll that I had as an appetizer which was pretty good.
Tried the sashimi and mongolian bbq. Both dishes where ok but not great. If you are tired of cassados, go for it. The waiter was helpfull, polite and friendly.
Best sushi I've ever had - and I'm from Toronto. Fish wad super fresh and big sushi rolls. Excellent service as well; the owner was there walking around from table to table. Pretty cheap for the quality of food!!
Highly recommend eating here on your vacation.
