No ACs, can't flush the toilet paper, and poor wifi. The whole place could use a good power wash. It was difficult to make a booking here. The website didn't work, we had to email the owners to get a room. When we did show up there were only local children to show us to our room. No keys were provided to lock our Villa up. After one night, we knew we could do better in Ojochal. We attempted to pay and check out but once again, there were only children on site. From what we could understand they were asking us to come by the following day when the owner arrived so we can pay our bill. The pictures provided on the website seem to be years old as it looks a bit tired and worn down now. They were doing some construction while we were there. They were also showing the property to potential buyers who had no problem walking through our unlockable villa.

Great rustic villa compound in the mountains of Costa Rica. Authentic local vibe but also a great jumping off point to multiple beaches in the are. Playa Ventanas & Villa Leonor were tops on our list of fun. Danny & Louis are very attentive owners, commonly around & available for local feedback.
