  Villa Leonor is a great spot on the beach. Don't expect anything fancy, but who needs a fancy beach BBQ? The best part is how relaxed the environment is; you can see and smell the wafting BBQ smoke rising and falling from the back pit, and the kitchen is managed by a friendly local team. From seafood skewers to ribs, you will be satisfied. For true fish lovers, I suggest the seared tuna: it's not on the menu, but if if you like a traditional tuna sear, you can't go wrong. If meat is more your game, get the juicy ribs.

  What a find this was. Picked a spot that looked interesting just driving down 34 looking for some food and we hit the jackpot. Food and atmosphere was amazing. Saw our first toucan of the trip and our waiter gave us some local history about some of the decor in the restaurant. Food was incredible and very fresh. One of the best meals we had during our week in Costa Rica.

  Been there a few times and it's always great. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The sauces are very flavorful but not heavy. We make a point of going there at least once per trip.
