  Peter, the owner, runs a good business. I took kite surfing lessons here, going through the 3 classes (3 hrs each) and have a solid grounding of kite control and water-starts now I just have to keep practicing.
  
  Shutout to the local dudes who work there, they're great with beginners of all ages.

  I had a good time windsurfing here for an hour while on a family trip. I think they are best suited for more advanced windsurfers, though.

  $7 day use fee, small restaurant on site. Water access slippery so bring booties. Wind is very gusty on Arenal so be wise otherwise it's a $30 jetski ride back.

  I spent two weekends at this windsurfing paradise. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the gear was great.
  
  One weekend was blowing hard, so I had a blast on small gear (3.4 to 5.3). The next weekend had a few hours of high wind, but I was mostly on bigger gear or in lighter wind, playing around with basic freestyle on a big board and small sail.
  
  Throughout the trip, the staff were eager to help out and made great recommendations for gear.
  
  Definitely worth visit, but bring lots of sunscreen! (and long sleeves/pants to cover up if needed)

  IMPORTANT: The windguru/windfinder show incorrect wind readings for this location. They do not have a data point on the lake and as a result have to extrapolate the wind speed based on their weather models. In realty add 15 knots to anything those websites project.
  
  A 4x4 is not required but strongly recommended to get to this location.
