Superb coconut shrimp - oh, so yummy! Order extra right away!!! Excellent piña coladas. Wonderful service. Fish and chips were just fine.

Were not able to stay for entertainment, but it looked great. Will return!

Follow-up: returned for sunset dinner and entertainment. The most beautiful sunset, delicious food (more awesome coconut shrimp, an excellent burger, decadent dessert), and entertainers (G string Cowboys : ) were talented and fun.

This is a very fun and inviting mountain top bar. Highly recommend a 4x4 for the road up. If they have live music please be patient as their service can get a little bit backed up. The food and drinks were well priced but nothing too special.

This is a very cool place. Clearly for expats and tourists, everyone speaks English which is handy. This is not where you go for a "Costa Rican" experience. This is where you go to have a good time and enjoy some live music and feel a bit like having some of the USA in the tropics. It's definitely worth the trip.

Had a great night at The Bamboo Room; a groovy bar/restaurant/boutique hotel. Live music every night but Sunday. Simply awesome. Owners John and Janet made us feel super welcome. Highly recommend.

A great place to kick back, listen to awesome live music while enjoying a great meal from a broad selection of choices. The owners, Janet and John along with their very attentive staff made our numerous visits very enjoyable. The Halloween Party was exceptional!!!!

A local suggested that my friend and I go to the Bamboo Room. We had earlier driven by the it's sign on a road winding up the mountain. We decided to double back and check it out. I was so taken by the view from the bar that we decided to come back that evening. That night Chris was the bartender. He is an American and is tall, handsome and quite mysterious. I found myself wondering what his story is and how he found himself tending a bar on a mountain in Costa Rica. An hour or so later, Kim Carson began playing. She is from New Orleans, which is my neck of the woods. What a great show! She is an incredible story teller and musician. If you are in the area, definitely check Chris and Kim out. I know I will be back!
