This tiny local place came recommended by somebody that works in the tiera Del sueno Lodge and is excellent value I had the whole fish with carribbean sauce nicely seaoned rice and peas ; the fried plantain was outstanding and salad. As an appetizer I had the fresh and delicious and perfectly seasoned ceviche and the portion was shareable. Where they lacked was in the service which is very casual and often customers including myself have to get up to seek the waiter to get something like another drink or the bill the young boys working there are friendly enough but hang out on their phones or socializing in the room next door rather than perusing through the restaurant checking on their customers especially after they deliver the food and drinks. I had the Mojito which was more orangee then mint like and had too much ice and I'm not a big fan of a maraschino cherry in there however the second drink they made it better and it's still good in any event

My favorite eats in Puerto Viejo so far! Family run business with a Jamaican flare. Authentic flavors and reasonably priced. I loved their chicken bathing in the carribean sauce, delicious! The family is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable!

This is hands down the best restaurant in Puerto Viejo. Most amazing staff and fast service. Other stablishments can be somewhat slow in serving. This is where you want to eat.

Nice place for a decent meal that is not too expensive. I had the Caribbean chicken which had great flavor and was quite filling too. The restaurant is a little hot but nothing unexpected for the area

Great food, great price, and even better service. A family owned and run restaurant. Safe place to eat in terms of sanitary conditions. Also must try third natural juices!

Amazing food with a long history and excellent service. Even better if Edwin the original owner is in town.
