10/10!!
We loved our stay here. The staff followed various COVID safety precautions.
The room was clean, breakfast was delicious & the thermal bath experience was unreal.
For clarification - you are not actually staying within the springs. The thermal spring is located across the street - 5 minutes walking or shuttle services.
Part of the nice thing about staying at this resort was the springs were open to hotel guests only from 8-10 AM. This allowed a good time to relax & also offers an “exclusive hotel guests only” section of the springs!

One of the best massages I have ever had. Shirley was fantastic! 10/10 review!
The entire experience from start to finish was completely worth it. Very unique, educational, and professional massage. Very much needed and so relaxing. I also appreciated her getting all the knots out and the stretching prior to the massage. Never wanted it to end and I thank her so much for this wonderful experience.

Great resort! I loved the service. They made us feel like VIPs. Very caring and attentive. Service is fast as well compare to normal Costa Rican service. One star off for over priced food and drinks. Prices are Manhattan prices not Costa Rican. Also the rooms are clean but not too nice lacking cute touches and cozy feeling. The rooms are big and humid maybe a dehumidifier can be helpful. We didn’t have any view but it is fine since we send a lot of time at the springs. The springs are amazing and beautiful with plenty of separate pools to feel secluded.

Absolutely the best resort we have been too. Atmosphere was indescribable and staff was amazing! We celebrated our 25th anniversary there and it could not have been more perfect. We will definitely be back!

Wow just wow! This resort is truly an impeccable resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a nice pool with a bar. And of course the hot springs were really interesting and fun to explore and relax. This resort is situated near a volcano - a little intimidating - but rather exciting and exotic. The food is great, no complaints. The service was wonderful as well. If you are into nature and are fond of rainforests then I highly suggest this resort - it's breathtaking!

What can I say? Tabacón exceeded every expectation in every way. The rooms were amazing with incredible views. The breakfast buffet is something I will forever wish for. They have great restaurants and the spa. The spa is unreasonably amazing. We spent several hours being pampered to the sounds of the rainforest getting massages, champagne, smoothies, and a private hot tub to relax in. The employees were very gracious and professional. The springs were breathtaking. I was very impressed with the fresh fruit drinks that were so readily available. I will not visit Costa Rica without a night or two here. It's that good.

Absolutely beautiful! We did a half day pass and it was just too rushed. The front desk won’t let you in a second before hand, so don’t show up too early :) Stunning resort and the lunch buffet was great. Would recommend staying for a day as the half day was pricey for the amount of time. Would highly recommend it!

Beautiful place. Feels like you are really in the jungle and not a man made hot springs. We were there in the rain and it made it so much fun. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area. We stayed in a local airbnb instead of the hotel. Buffet lunch and dinner was nice. There are other eating places nearby, but this is by far the most convenient if you don't want to leave and come back. Staff is extremely nice.

The thermal springs were energizing and exhilarating. Beautifully landscaped to inspire calm walks through the gardens. People were friendly and very helpful. There are many private areas to sit and relax and I never felt crowded or rushed. Loved it!

We had an amazing time! Showed up to a special cocktail at the receptionist desk. Beautiful open lobby, the pool is private and serene and the food is amazing. You get comfy robes and slippers in your room to go down to the hot springs. The hot springs are really a must see in Costa Rica, I feel like my trip wouldn't have been complete without this experience.

The hot springs are wonderful, probably the best in the area, and the food at the restaurant is very good. Unfortunately, every time I've been there it has been extremely crowded, with far too many people for the available space, and meal times had to be moved. However, the wait staff were absolutely fantastic, which keeps my overall experience and therefore review well into the positive.

We really enjoyed the night pass here at Tabacon. Great buffet for dinner and incredible walk throughout. I think we only wished our bartender at the pool had been a little more welcoming, otherwise this place is top notch.

Really nice hotel. Huge rooms for 2-3 ppl. Hot springs are beatiful & relaxing. Breakfast is great but skip the dinner buffet.

Absolutely gorgeous thermal spa! The restaurant has fantastic food and the thermal pools are amazing. They are designed in such a way that the experience feels private even if there are a lot of guests visiting

Purchased the dinner + evening hot spring pass. The buffet was very diverse and the food delicious. The hot springs are well maintained and illuminated. The adult section was perfect for a bit of romance.

The pools are really fun— there are a LOT of them at different temperatures, sizes, with waterfalls, etc.— but skip the food. It’s terrible. Also, $70 per person feels like way too much, but if you can afford it, it’s a cool experience.

Wow! I really can't say enough great things about this place! The staff was super helpful, the food was good and great overall atmosphere. I was a little concerned that the website might have over embellished the place, but I would actually say that as awesome as their website is, it doesn't do this place justice. If you eat at the restaurant try to get Luis as your waiter, he is awesome. The spa was great as well, we got a couples massage and it was one of the best I have ever had. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place to stay in the area, look no further, this place is amazing!
