Great location, friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent facilities. Right near Playa Grande, plenty of off-street parking.

The host didn't explain anything and didn't make small talk, maybe she didn't have her day, but we didn't feel like we were welcome. Also the bed was hard. The location is awesome and the hotel looks amazing.

Sugar Monkey's is conveniently located near the best break in Playa Grande. Just a 2 minute walk and you are on the beach.
The staff is extremely friendly and the owner Enrigo is very laid back but still hands on.
There are bikes to use, skateboards and sand toys if the kids require anything. There is a nice body weight "gym" near the pool with a pull-up bar, parallel bars and battle ropes in case you don't get enough exercise surfing or hiking the area. There is a nice lounge area with a breeze to have a beer or mixed drink if you desire.
The restaurant on site servers breakfast and a great pizza twice a week. Otherwise, the kitchen is closed for lunch and dinner. Still other options right around the corner.
Rooms are small, tidy and basic, but I did not require much more for my stay.

My room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant and bar served delicious pizza and the cashew salad was to die for. Three minute walk to the beach. Safe environment. Friendly staff. Relaxing space to chill out.

Great place near my favourite beach in Costa Rica, Playa Grande, which is 2 mins walk away.
Awesome for surfing and relax away from the city noise.
Very good food at the restaurant closed by, good breakfast as well.

Very cool people. The food was the best we had in the Tamarindo area. The burgers were delicious, the calamari was the best I've ever had, the mojito is the best ever!

Enrico and Victoria are wonderful hosts. The place is very chill and the rooms are clean (with AC).
