Stashu's always has great food but the best thing about this place is the people you meet there. Live music nights are best.

They offer daily specials that are the best item, although not on the menu. The staff is friendly, the ambiance is cozy and the food is outstanding.

As everyone says, Stashu is a gracious, friendly host, and his generosity came through in every dish we had. We were lucky to drop in on a Friday, “Pad Thai night,” and the dish was excellent, so flavorful, and plentiful. Another night we had fish tacos, a plate of three large, tasty tacos surrounded by a little constellation of sides. Fruit drinks were great, and there are even some locally-made hand-carved and painted masks for sale. Don’t miss Stashu’s.

Our Dinner Experience was Great. From the food, the atmosphere, the great service, and most of all the Personal Touch by the owner to come and chat with his patrons. This real touch is seldom seen in today's food industry. My wife and I enjoyed our meals {Seafood Special}, and the cleaver mixologist Ginger Beer, Rum, Lime and Sugar drink. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

This place was awesome! We got two spicy mango margaritas and they had just the right amount of sweet and heat. Perfect start. The food was extremely flavorful. We got the jerk chicken and it was the best I've ever had. It was heavy in seasoning as you can see by the thick brown/black sauce. I loved it, but it is strong so be careful. Also had the vegan tacos, falafel, hummus, seasoned garbanzo beans (heavy on the cumin), tzatziki sauce and avocado. No complaints, it was ideal for our first dinner on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.

Tamarind Sweet & Spicy with fish was absolutely amazing as well as the service! Try the hot sauce, it will make you addicted. We had a talk with the owner, who was really friendly and told us about the food and it's origin. Totally recommend it

Best meal I've had in 6 months in South and Central America. Prices range from 3500-7000 CRC ($7-14) a plate. Ton of vegetarians options. Would go again!

Nice and cozy place! Warm welcome and excellent service! And the food!!!!! Wow!! AMAZING!!!! Had the fish tacos and my husband the tamarind fish, we stoped talking and just finished our plates so fast cause it was too good! We recommend this place without hesitation!! 100% satisfied!! I want to try all the dishes!! And prices are totally afordable!

Amazing food, so many different flavors all blending into your mouth! The place is cozy and well decorated and the service is warm but professional. They also sell bottles of their hot sauce, yummy!

Really nice place! So romantic with the band playing Tested spicy mussels (big yes), Garlic butter sauce with shrimp and coconut tandoori chicken and 2 cocktails.
