Lovely Sunday service! A beautiful church with very nice people just outside the center of Tamarindo. Much of the service was executed in Spanish and English to make it easier for everyone to participate. I felt the spirit of God is strong in this congregation, and the music was very nice as well. They even asked my husband to do a reading in English, which made us feel most welcome. The service is on Sunday at 11:00 am.

17 February 2019. Attended 11:00 am mass. Mass was in Spanish and the priest reread many parts in English. Glad to be able to attend mass.

Iglesia De Santa Maria
St Mary's Catholic Church in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, has a very open, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The building, art and sculptures, erected to God, are magnificent and worthy to HIS praise. Do not miss the opportunity to view the 'Pieta' and enjoy a Mass (currently at 11AM Domingo/Sunday). The mass was spoken in espanol and surprisingly once in a while in English to translate to those who are visiting. It was comforting to have this avenue as part of our trip.

Be advised there is a 10am service on Sunday. The priest is fantastic. Dress for an open air church and be advised parking is very limited.

Attended a very nice communion service presided by a lively young deacon on January 12, 2014. The service was entirely in Spanish and reflective of the local culture, but was welcoming and comfortable for the tourists who happened to be there as well. There was a guitar choir also. The only service offered was Sunday at 6 pm. The church is comfortable although not air conditioned as best as I could tell. Not much parking space outside, most locals parked along the street.
