Actually very nice place. But no place for vegetarians. We asked specifically for a vegeterian meal. The waitress offered the basic casados without adding the fish or the meat what sounded great cause it has a housemade coconut sauce. Unfortunately we found a bone in the coconut sauce that could not have been explained by the waitress.

This restaurant is very original and run by a local family. This place does not serve any alcohol so it a good place to go with your kids to have breakfast lunch etc. The staff is friendly and focused on good service. The food quality is high and well prepared. The ambiente is very quiet and relaxed. They serve really good natural smoothies and juices. The waiting time from order to serving is average but it is worth waiting.

Cool place, walked in at 9pm. Place was packed, but nobody had any food. I walked in, waited 5 min, was about to leave. Then one of the waitresses gave me a menu, got the fish plate. With a papaya smoothie, very good food and drink. Fast and friendly service. Some guy came in, played some good tunes, classic. Prices are fair, I would definitely recommend this place. La Pura Vida!

This place was super close to my hostel and their food is just as delicious as Lidia's. Another great option for authentic Caribbean-Costa Rican cuisine.

Best authentic Tico food in Puerto Viejo. Way off the beaten path you will find only locals here. You MUST have the Caribbean chicken! It is the best! Service was very friendly and prices are great. Eat where the locals eat.here!
