Honestly, can’t understand how this restaurant has such a good rating. I went there with my family during February 2018. The pictures from the menu are totally deceiving, food portions are small and taste is average, price is high if you consider what you get. they are also very inconsistent, two of my companions asked for the same food and got very different portions sizes. I asked for a fruit salad which supposedly contained a variety of different fruits ( I even asked the waiter for the kinds of fruit it had) only to get 2 kinds of fruit. Smoothies are from concentrated flavors, not fresh fruit like you usually find in other restaurants. They take an incredibly long time to serve the food. Honestly, I felt tricked and regretted going there. The cook was a young kid, definitely not a chef as another review states. Avoid

Location is great. The food was a bit too salty to my taste. The prices are avatars. But what I liked about it was the stuff, they were not too pushy, did not try to up sell anything, did not lie about the prices. A rare find in that area.

The Wave is a hidden gem in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Their food is delicious, the service is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable. They also open early if you would like (or need) a place to grab coffee. They are right next to the beach so it's an easy transition back to relaxation once you're done. Chris - one of the two owners - is extremely friendly and a wonderful host. Their head chef used to work at a 5 star hotel and you can certainly tell from the food.
