It was absolutely fantastic! You can't beat the oceanfront seats and the food was spectacular. Worth every penny (although it was a pretty penny to dine here!)
We treated ourselves to a meal here (backpacker budget!) and we are so glad we did. The food was fresh and really tasty - I had jumbo shrimp and my partner had the octopus. Neither of us could fault our meals. Chocolate cake for dessert was also very nice!! Service was perfect too. Highly recommend!!
Tropical, local very cosy restaurant for fresh meal with friendly staff. They offer fresh fish cought on the day! View is picturesque above tables there are palm trees where my husband spotted a sloth several times!
A very unassuming and charming restaurant that doesn’t look like much from the roadside.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and spoke English very well.
For an appetizer I had swordfish carpaccio which was delicious - I shared a small amount with a kitten that lived at the restaurant; we both enjoyed it. I had grilled sea bass with vegetables for my main and it was done to perfection. My wife had shrimps cooked in a spicy Mexican sauce. We were alone in the restaurant at 7:00pm and it was getting very full by 8:00pm.
Seafood is the focus of this restaurant. It is super fresh and well prepared. A great alternative to when you are done with arroz con pollo. Not as expensive as everyone says but main dishes are anywhere from 12-25 dollars. The portions are quite large. They prefer cash but will take a card and add a tax fee.
Delicious and fresh seafood, the Caribbean fish was amazing. Beautiful restaurant and great service!
I thought it was just okay and a bit overpriced, but the view and breeze outside were nice. My fiancée liked it more than I did.
The main meal was a little bit expensive but it was well served. Even the entrance meal was well served. Juices are made with real fruit and I would recommend the Ceviche. You can go there after leaving the Cahuita Park.
Super good food! Be sure to order whatever they post on the wall outside the building. That is what they got fresh. They changed it through out the day as the fishermen bring them their catches.
We had two types of octopus and some bruchetta. It was all well prepared and presented.
Great views and you can sit on tables out back to see the beach and get the breeze.
Fresh seafood, best in town but pricey
I wept. The langosta (lobster) in garlic and butter while sitting at a candlelight dinner on the beach located on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica with my awesome husband was emotionally overwhelming. In a good way. Perfection! The end of April we were on a bucket list, off-the-beaten-path adventure trip of Costa Rica when we found this little jem in Cahuita. We were on a pretty tight budget, planning to only splurge for one or two upscale meals during the 15 day trip, and I am so VERY glad this was one of them! The only downside was they didn't have mojitis, so I was forced to suffer through a delicious margarita. Okay, maybe two. :)
We went here in February 13 thinking it was Valentine's Day! We did not figure that out until the next day. This place is not inexpensive but the quality and presentation was fantastic. We got a table right next to the Caribbean so we got to enjoy the waves while dining. Service was top notch and the good came out very quickly. We both had the catch of the day and finished our meal with a banana split and she had chocolate cake with ice cream. We would have went back out for the real Valentine's Day but they are closed Tuesdays. I left my hat at the table and the owner met me at 3 PM to give me back my hat. Wonderful caring people.
We have enjoyed exceptional delicious food; the filet of the catch of the day "Caribian" style was amazing.
Good food, good service.
We love to come back.
The food here was good and fresh, however it was a bit on the pricier side of life and I thought the portions were smaller than normal. However the cooking was really fine! I ordered the whole snapper and it was amazingly good. All of the food was so fresh and so well cooked, it just feels like the Pura vida! The owner was very charismatic and advised us what to get - he had a special on Tuna which he sold very well. And it didn't disappoint! I highly recommend the seafood if you go here!
Good food. Nicely located right on the edge of the water. Not super expensive but not cheap. Good seafood and pasta ( that would be made better if they had Parmesan cheese) do not order the tiramisu it was the worst, that is why the 4 stars and also the owner is a smoker that walks around the outside of the property and chain smokes. The smoke makes it's way into the restaurant.
