  Good food with a nice atmosphere. Pretty expensive considering location (in between Tamarindo and San Jose). Located next to a macaw sanctuary, so youight see some birds (if you're lucky).

  Nice place for a good quick lunch on our way to San Jose. Like the plantain leaf touch on everything they serve. Dont miss the Macaw next door

  A bit on the pricey side. Excellent service. Food is typical. Good. Be sure to seat in the darker area as it is cooler and less radiation bounces to your eyes from outside.

  Used to be better. Food is pretty good old style Costa Rica, but prices are now gringo tourist rip-off. No air conditioning and very hot. Better to go to the new Taco Bell next door, full cold air conditioning, great dining atmosphere, and TV's and music!

  At first glance, this might seem like just another rest stop on your way to another piece of the paradise that is Costa Rica. However, if you happen to have a trusty tour guide (as we did) he or she might tell you that this rest stop is a little different.
  In the fact the owners have dedicated a portion if their land to an effort to increase the local macaw population. Yes, the large red (or blue and yellow) parrots. They are absolutely gorgeous and if you're lucky enough, they might deign to sit in the tree right next to the cafe Mi Finca long enough for a few photos.
  The cafe itself has quite a few options, including local pastries and other such delicacies. They have ice cream! There is also a pretty decent gift shop you could poke your head around in.

  The Bathroom in the 'Deli' section was missing a toilet seat and no paper towels. Both bathrooms had trash cans over filled with toilet paper and other misc garbage. No reason why a scheduled stop for many tourist groups should not have CLEAN restrooms. What is the excuse for not having a $20 Toilet Seat? Make your facilities a pleasant place to visit!!

  Great food and nice little souvenir shop with good prices near by. We saw 4 beautiful macaws while we were there. Can pick up snacks for the road.

  This actually two places. One is a sit down restaurant and the other, the "cafeteria" has pastries, snacks, drinks and ice cream. Behind these two is also a gift/souvenir shop. The highlight of the stop though is the tree in the back filled with scarlet and blue macaws. They may not always be there but when we were there, 10 of them were hanging out in the tree. We drove up from El Roble/Puntarenas not expecting to see much and maybe we just got lucky, but the drive was totally worth it.

  Popular spots for Interbus shuttle services. Ordered a smoothie for $4, which is the most I have paid in Costa Rica. There are a lot of Macaus on the trees nearby.

  Restaurant by side of expressway. Reasonably good food but a little pricey. Has a nice little place behind with a lot of scarlet Macaws.

  Busses stop here on route to different beach towns. Good place to have a quick meal. Clean toilets
