My husband and I enjoyed the two hour sunset horseback ride on the beach. It was incredible and a highlight of our trip. The staff was very professional, approachable, and knowledgeable. They were also very accommodating to people of different languages, abilities, and disabilities. We highly recommend!!!! It was my first time galloping on a horse and it was magical!

Rancho La Merced is a wonderful horseback riding service. The staff is friendly and speak English perfectly, the prices are very reasonable, and upon return we found lemonade and muffins waiting for us. We chose the sunset ride on the beach, which was beautiful. They allowed us to split into groups based on how quickly each of us who wanted to ride, someone at the walk and some wanted to gallop. Overall we highly recommend.

We had an excellent ride to the jungle waterfalls with our guide and two sweet and well mannered horses (who like mangos and bananas rather than carrots and apples).

Highly recommended for novice and experienced riders alike.

Superb ride. It was just 5 of us and a guide. Horses were very well behaved. And a lovely peaceful waterfall to lounge by.

Did a night tour. Saw lots of frogs, spider's, ant's, termites, a snail, a sloth, birds, and some really big trees. Bring rubber boots if you don't like mud. Our guide spoke very good English and was very informative and helpful. Was very tired at the end of the hike, but happy we went.

Such a nice trip !
The tour guide spoke spanish bc he noticed i understand, but sometimes i didnt and he switched to english immidiately, so kind and thoughtful. I had really nice conversations with the two guids, they offered me and the other riders muffins and delicious lemonade in the end for free ! Wow it was so pleasant :) I even saw a sloth the guide pointed out to us ! The ride was also really nice, the horses are very well treated, and we were able to gallop at the beach ! Hope to be there again 😊

We have sent several of our clients here and had good responses for their horse rides at the beach and at the falls. This is one of 2 places in the Costa Ballena area to ride horses..here at at Nauyaca.

If you are looking for a great adventure combine with an excellent customer service, you have to visit Rancho La Merced, I spend my vacations with my family and friends in Costa Rica and we decide to horse back ride and decide for Rancho La Merced, what a great experience, we enjoyed 3 hours of beautiful nature, with waterfall, forest and share with monkeys and birds!! Its just amazing!!! Thanks to our tour guides Esteban Fonseca, Hector Retana, Ismael Jimenez and Leandro Sanchez!!! Congratulations guys for the excellent service
