Experienced owners and some great agents like Tim. If you have a house to sell in Jaco or Hermosa, it's worth checking out if you have a home to sell in that area.

I would like to say a few words for those who are looking to purchase or sell real-estate in Jaco, Costa Rica. Regardless of all the hype, promises of low commission, stating how many properties they sell, the first thing I looked for was a honest and true agent. I found this with Shawn Fletcher at REMAX Oceanside Realty, Jaco Costa Rica. He was honest with my expectations, he explained all of the challenges we may encounter in selling real-estate in Costa Rica and how we will overcome them. Once a buyer was found and a contract was signed, he held my hand through the process. From finding legal representation, to translating the documents for my understanding. Obtained a deposit, from the buyer, to protect me for taking my property off the market, until the closing. He represented me as my Attorney in Fact at closing to save me the expense of traveling back to Costa Rica. After closing, he followed through with the escrow agent to make sure my funds were wired quickly and efficiently to the bank of my choice. So if your buying or selling real-estate , first find a honest, reputable agent and then listen to his council. Shawn Fletcher is the one I listened to and the one I recommend. Ron Cecilione
