We visited at Christmas and LOVED this place. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The cheese factory is located off the main road on the farm, that is nestled in a the most beautiful mountain valley. We were received warmly by this lovely family. We had a tour, watched them make fresh mozzarella and had a cheese tasting. You are looking at the cows while eating the cheese!! As a cheese lover, it doesn't get better than this. Prices are very reasonable. Wilbur, the owner is very kind, humble and smart. A great place to stop by on your way to Chirripo! The cheese is Swiss influenced and melt watering. wonderful.

Small house operation didn't have all the available cheeses due to local milk supplies and samples are given sparingly and stringy the swiss cheese is good and the parmesan like cheese was dry and crumbly
