My wife and I got FOOD POISONED here, beware!!

We were having our jungle cabin not too far from their place and the good reviews and outlook of going to an Argentinian Steakhouse were making out mouths water.

When we arrived we were at that point the only guests. The younger guy greeted us and we started with a Mohito and a beer for me. My wife then ordered the Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce and for me the Tenderloin with Peppercorn Sauce and we both ordered it "medium well". We ate the whole thing up, also had the side salad and the fries that come with it. At that point I thought, it was pretty okay, not the best steak I ever had but not the worst either. (a bit on the chewy side though)

Anyway, as soon as I got back to our cabin I felt the rumble kicking in to my stomach and I have watery explosive diarrhea since six days now. I spend the next day in a feverish state in the bed, half a sleep half awake. I had to burp a lot (not puke) and everytime the steak scent/flavour hit me back.

It's been very rough having to go through it in our jungle cabin. We flew back home yesterday and I'm about to go to the clinic now to get some proper medicine to sort me out. Unfortunately that place put a rapid stop to our last 3 days that we wanted to enjoy in Puerto Viejo. We better should have ordered the Pizza!

One of the best places to eat in Puerto Viejo. I tried the pizza and the tender loin, no complains, simply amazing.Went there 3 times already, love it.

Argentinian food. Had one of the best steaks ever at this place. Do bring bug spray though, as it is in between two small river crossings there can be a few mosquitos.
