This is a small park, when I took the picture the weather was cool (for Costa Rica standard), and some of the trees were in blum, so it is a good place to walk thru.

Loved this park. On the cleaner part of San Jose so I was thrilled, actually. I was there on a Sunday and there were quite a few people out enjoying the park. If in San Jose, go here for a peace of mind.

Dirty and gafitti filled, this park is only safe during the day. Junkies and thieves inhabit the place after hours.

Morazán Park is one of the many hidden gems of San José. It is well kept and well manicured. It is a safe place to walk or enjoy a respite, a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of downtown.

Morazán is a nice park, there's a monument called "templo de la música" where you can always see street artist performing.
There are trash cans all around for people not to litter, I'm giving a 4 out of 5 because homeless are frequently around the park bothering people asking them for money.

Nice place, but too bad that the local police takes bribes from the gang running this area, so they don't interfere in any of the crimes committed here against the tourists and locals on daily bases. It would be so easy to patrol the area for safety, but they choose to turn the blind eye for the profit of their own, instated of the whole city which pays their salaries. In that sense the local police and government is no better than the scum ruling this parts. Probably worse. Costa Rica is a amazing place, but corruption is keeping it on its knees, firmly among the rest of bananas republics. Very sad indeed.

The park is okay, but nothing overly special. If you are in the area, it is okay to have your lunch there.

This is a nice place to walk around a bit and hang out but I strongly advise to be cautious since there are theives in the area. Don't hang around there too late at night.
