This is the park entrance of a beautiful park. You have to pay for parking (despite what other people say in reviews, we disn’t see any free parking spots over there. We paid $4 for a whole day.

We were there around 7:15AM and yes it can be crowded (but that wasn’t that disturbing as other reviews may suggest) so definitely recommend to be there early.

Spend 5 hours over there, of which 2,5 hours with Andres, our guide from Terra Travel Costa Rica. Definitely recommend to visit the park with him, because Andres saw animals that we wouldn’t have noticed if he didn’t show us. Furthermore, he has a lot of knowledge since he is a certified tour guide (always ask your guide to show him/her proof of certification, they carry a card with then) and a nature interest.

If you only want to spot monkeys, then a guide is not needed, just go to the main beach where monkeys try to steel stuff from people (we saw a monkey stealing chewing gum and eating it) the pictures enclosed are the pictures that Andres made for us through his telescope (great!).

Great views along the trails, have your camera ready and available. There are guides near the entrance that can point out wildlife and plants with short range telescopes. Near the beach they have showers available. It is best to have cash to pay for admission, otherwise they only accept Visa cards but use them as a cash advance.

Also am besten recht früh starten. Man kann mindestens 4-5 Stunden dort verbringen ohne sich zu langweilen.

A good advice is not to stop a moment and wait for an animal to appear

Beautiful beaches, lots of wildlife and no development. What's not to love? We brought in sandwiches, water and chopped pineapple in a container. No chips or other snacks allowed. Entry was $16 pp.

Closed 2 days for a hurricane that wasn't even near. No wind and it didnt even rain. Every other day it has poured at some point, usually at night. Otto must have pulled the moisture up north. There were a number of disappointed people.

Other than that when you walk through stop every once in awhile and look for falling leaves or anything coming down from the trees. Then look for sloths and monkeys in that area.

Great park, good trails, beach trail was my favorite because of the beaches to relax on obviously. And at the end we bought chilled coconuts and the guy dropped a shot of rum in there for me. Great success!!

    Vraiment bien
La plage est sublime avec singe et iguane.
    Entrée 10$
Guide pour 20$ mais si vous êtes un groupe vous pouvez descendre le prix à 8$/personne.
Il vous permet de voir certain animaux via un super objectif
