  The Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica is an area of many wildlife reserves and parks. It has an untamed natural beauty that cannot be described. There are the beaches of tan sand or rounded pebbles. Some have volcanic rocks with fantastic shapes. There are many spots to swim, surf, or kayak. You can horseback ride or hike along the beach or just within the trees. There are trails that move up into the hills. Some follow the tropical rivers and streams. You may come upon a crocodile happily sunning himself along a bank, or a waterfall pool in which you can swim and cool off from the tropical heat.
