Es un templo precioso! Llama muchisimo la atención los colores, en especial las columnas y el techo. Cómo se ve el las fotos es una mezcla de estilos que da la impresión de una mezcla de culturas. Desde luego es un sitio que merece la fama que tiene!

Place for pilgrims from whole country and others places. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Queen of the Angels. Many devotes go to this place every day, but in especial on August 2th, when more that two million of people go there walking long distances.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Angels is a national shrine, as this representation of the Virgin Mary is the patron Saint of Costa Rica. The days before August 15, people go massively, by the the thousands, in pilgrimage, from all the corners of the country, and some even come from as far as Nicaragua or Panama.

If you have time, visit this church. It truly is beautiful. The design for the inside of this church is marvelous! They have vendors around the church that sell ice cream and religious stuff as well.

Breathtaking interiors, it's beautiful and the architecture well representative of Costa Rica, totally worth the visit, they have the Virgin who appeared on a rock there so is a National treasure for all Costa riqueans.

It is a very beautiful building with important historic value for the Costa Rican people. For those who are lovers of art I would suggest you go and enjoy its captivating design. There are those who WALK from all parts of Costa Rica to this church which is imprssive and it is an experience I would never do again, one time is more than enough.

Very nice church. Did not go to attend a service, but rather on a tour of Cartago. Very well designed inside and out. Check out the area down the spiral steps outside. There's also some gift shops there too.
